I blogged yesterday about an important deadline for workers who helped with cleanup and recovery efforts in New York City following the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

This article shows the uphill battle facing many 9/11 heroes as they attempt to collect workers’ compensation benefits and get medical care for their 9/11 injuries and illnesses.

As this article points out, workers must not only prove that their illnesses and injuries are related to their 9/11 work, but also they must prove that they were actually working in New York City after the attacks. In some cases, photographic proof isn’t enough, underscoring the need to get an attorney involved early.
