Two people died in a wreck this morning on the I-85/40 corridor near Mebane, North Carolina. At least two others were taken by helicopter to an area hospital.
Investigations show that a Ford Explorer collided with the back of a Honda Civic that was “stopped in the lane closest to the concrete barrier,” according to an article on digtriad.com. The two deceased occupied the Civic.
Two lanes of traffic were blocked on the southbound side for approximately two hours as a result of the incident.
