Passenger in Pickup Truck Bed Seriously Injured When Truck Overturns

A crash that seriously injured one passenger on Saturday, October 9, 2010 is still under investigation by police officers in Kernersville. They have charged Kory Michael Fischer, 21, with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and felony serious injury by vehicle. The passenger of his pickup truck was riding in the truck bed and was seriously injured when the pickup truck overturned at the intersection of Lambeth Farm Lane and Lake Way. The passenger—who has not yet been publicly identified—was transported to Baptist Hospital for treatment. The driver, Mr. Fischer, was taken to jail and placed there under $51,000 bond.
