William Belt stopped on U.S. Highway 74 near Kings Mountain, NC on December 17, 2010 to help the victim of a car crash.
Natalia Myers was trapped in her vehicle which was pinned against a guardrail after striking the back of a truck.
Mr. Belt was struggling to pull Myers from her car when another truck hit them. Mr. Belt had the remarkable presence of mind to push his wife, Regina, out of harm’s way. He suffered a broken leg and Ms. Myers sustained a broken nose.
Mr. Belt and Ms. Myers were treated for their injuries at Cleveland Regional Medical Center and released.
