This Monday, April 19 begins National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week for 2010. An event is scheduled in New York City to kickoff a week of programs across the United States that will promote this year’s theme, “Work Zones Need Your Undivided Attention.”
State agencies across the country have scheduled conferences, press releases and are providing promotional materials to raise awareness about the necessity for motorists to pay attention while driving through work zones.
In North Carolina, Governor Beverly Perdue declared April “Work Zone Safety Awareness Month,” according to this article from Eyewitness News9.
