Back in June I posted a blog, When is Styling Hair Like Dissecting A Frog? That article discussed the dangers exposure to formaldehyde in hair products can pose to stylists.
This week I came across an OSHA press release announcing citations against manufacturers and distributors of hair products for alleged failure to protect employees from formaldehyde exposure and failure to communicate the hazard to stylists and salons.
Here is the OSHA press release. It makes interesting, and cautionary reading for those who work with hair products.
